peaceful civil disobedience is the strategy that imperialism likes to selectively remember and retell in order to pacify resistance movements and get them to stay within the system. fighting for the narrative is important, but no liberation movement has ever succeeded by appealing to the consciences of their oppressors. i feel like that’s the point of the article’s focus on material organizing and working towards separating from reliance on the state
